Counterfeit & Authenticity Guarantee
Every item we sell is genuine, first-quality manufacturer stock. Not a factory second, not a grey-market import, not a lookalike with the right sticker on it.
Our guarantee
If any product bought from Atlantic Cricket Gear is ever shown not to be genuine manufacturer stock, we will refund it in full — including all shipping, in both directions — with no time limit and no requirement that the item be unused. We will also tell you exactly how it happened.
Why we can make that promise
- We buy from the manufacturers' own price lists. Our DSC, SF, EM, GN and MRF ranges come through authorised distribution, not from marketplaces, liquidators or third-party resellers.
- Genuine stock carries a genuine warranty. Because our supply chain is authorised, the manufacturer will honour a defect claim on a bat you bought from us. That is the practical difference between real and fake: a counterfeit bat has no warranty behind it, whatever the label says.
- We describe what we actually have. Where a specification varies between individual bats — weight, grain count, pick-up — ask and we will measure the specific bat in stock rather than repeat the catalogue figure.
Counterfeit cricket gear is a real problem
Premium bats, gloves and helmets are widely faked, and the fakes have got good enough that the stickers and packaging are no longer a reliable tell. The consequences are not cosmetic. A counterfeit bat is usually low-grade willow with a cosmetic face, and it breaks. A counterfeit helmet has not passed BS7928:2013 — or any standard — no matter what is printed on the label, and it is a genuine safety risk to the player wearing it.
How to spot a fake elsewhere
- A price that is too good. A current-season senior English willow bat at a fraction of list price is not a bargain; it is a different bat.
- No warranty, or a "shop warranty" only. If the seller cannot route a claim to the manufacturer, they are not an authorised seller.
- Vague sourcing. "Direct from the factory", "export surplus" and "unbranded OEM of a famous brand" all mean the same thing.
- Grille and label detail on helmets. Missing or photocopied certification labels, rough grille welds, uneven padding.
- Stock photos only. A seller with real bats can photograph and weigh the real bat.
